A little about me. I grew up in an orchard outside of Kamloops. I cannot remember a time when I was not making something or trying new ideas in an out of the way application. My grandma taught me to knit at age 4 and I attended my first opera at age 8. Then came origami, papier mache, and any craft I could find. I taught arts and crafts at a summer programme in the Valleyview hall for young people and enjoyed it so much that I went into education at U.B.C. Through teaching, raising a family, and running my own daycare I continued to craft things. One can only make so many afghans, so when at Creative Chaos a few years ago and saw these fantastic sculptures I just had to find out how to make them. Turns out it was Paverpol. I was hooked. I took a couple of workshops and then the teaching course. Due to family issues I have not been able to start my own workshops until now. Who could not get excited about making about making a sculpture that looks like metal but is in fact made from old t-shirtI love this medium very much and do not mind getting dirty. Did I mention 15 years of daycare? Fortunately, I am now retired and love immersing myself in various art activities. I love creating Paverpol figures as it is a challenging endeavor as well as quite rewarding. To learn more about Paverpol, please visit the 'About Pavepol' tab located in the top portion of this site.
This website is designed to display my Paverpol artwork and allow people to contact me regarding workshops and sales of my works.
I do Paverpol lessons in a studio in my home or I can come to you. For lessons or to purchase my artwork, please e-mail me at the following address:
